NYC Breastfeeding Friendly Map

In New York a mom can breastfeed wherever she is allowed to be — so in essence a map is not needed. Still, there are places that openly welcome mothers and some have designated areas where moms can comfortably breastfeed and/or pump their milk. Our map shows you where these places are located.

Common Terms

Lactation Stations are public locations that are designated for mothers to breastfeed or pump their milk. They are equipped with hospital grade pumps, refrigerators and material on breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding Friendly locations are noted to be friendly and accommodating to breastfeeding mothers.

We must stress the importance of mothers knowing that they can legally breastfeed anywhere that they are allowed to be – in New York.
